2017 has been an year of running battles and tear gas for many Nairobi residents. This is thanks to the countless NASA demonstrations which at one certain point used to take place every Monday.
Empty Promises
Kenyans have increasingly grown tired of politicians feeding them with empty promises and dishing out hand outs only to disappear on them once they get in office.
Githeri Man
Remember Martin Kamotho? the man who won many Kenyan’s hearts after a photo of him holding a paper bag of Githeri while queuing to vote? Seem like Kenyans are tired of such already.
Nasa hao
Nasa hao (nab them) and bindu bichenjanga (things are changing) were frequently used by the NASA principals to urge their supporters to vote out Jubilee.

The phrase originated from Kanu secretary general Nick Salat while addressing NASA supporters. Salat expressed the sentiments saying the country’s oldest party was fully fronting Raila to battle with Uhuru, before he jumped ship and supported Uhuru instead.
