Giving birth and bringing new life into this harsh and tough world is already difficult for many women. But add onto that the difficulty of giving birth as an old woman. But one 59 year-old woman has gone and shown that it can still happen.

The 59-year-old woman who had been struggling to conceive for years and was even abandoned by her husband because she was unable to bear a child finally gave birth to quadruplets.

Radiojambo.co.ke gathered  that Magadaline Namakula from Mubende District in Uganda had suffered greatly in her quest for a baby and was overwhelmed with emotions when her dream finally came true on Friday, March, 30, 2018, at Kawempe General Hospital.

At her age, many would not her to be in a position to bear a child. Namakula herself had given up trying after several operations to remove fibroids. "It reach a point where only prayer could help me. I left everything to God. I said let God heal me because I did not have money for further treatment," Namakula told Daily Monitor.

Though she split up with her husband after 20 years in marriage because of the child issue, Namakula revealed she later fell in love with a man believed to be the father of her quadruplets. Strangely, she never knew she was expectant until doctors at Mulago hospital conducted a scan on her.

Unfortunately, when her babies were born, three of them died. One was reportedly a still birth whereas the two others died after birth. Namakula was, nevertheless, grateful to God for giving her a child. She insisted it was nothing else but the work of God.

May she enjoy the fruits of her womb.
