admits his Chelsea side are embarking on a season-defining fortnight beginning with the task of trying to halt the 'unstoppable' champions-elect Manchester City.

The Blues face 's league leaders on Sunday afternoon 22 points adrift, before games against Crystal Palace and Leicester City surround the second leg of their last-16 tie with Barcelona.

Conte confesses to being hugely impressed with City's unrelenting march to the title and believes a number of records could tumble in the process.

With 10 games to go, City are 25 points short of the magical 100 – a feat so far unseen since the league's inception in 1992 - but the Italian would not be surprised to see Guardiola's side make history.

'If they can continue with this fire and with this hunger then for sure they can achieve this result,' Conte admitted.

'They are showing to be in fantastic physical condition. They play good football and have great desire.

'A good win against Arsenal after they won the Carabao Cup. To win the Carabao Cup, to show this desire; this fire; this hunger; it means you have a group of players with great determination to achieve this type of result.

'It won't be easy to reach this result but they have the possibility because they are showing to be the best team in the league.'

While Conte prepares his side for Sunday's clash at the Etihad Stadium, the 48-year-old is under no illusions of just how vital the next two weeks are for the Blues.

With the race for the top four expected to go to the wire, the Italian has placed particular importance on next weekend's fixture against Crystal Palace which precedes the clash with Barcelona.

Following the trip to the Nou Camp, Chelsea then face Leicester City in the quarter-finals of the FA Cup – the Blues' most realistic chance of landing silverware this season.

'It's a very crucial moment. These two weeks are very important for us,' Conte added.

'Don't forget we have to play against Crystal Palace before Barcelona. And then we have to play Leicester away in the FA Cup.

'We have to continue to put ourselves in this effort. This will be an important effort from now until the end of the season to try and achieve the Champions League.'
