Arsenal lose coach to Wolfsburg as Jan Van Loon leaves

have lost highly-rated academy coach Jan van Loon to Wolfsburg.

The Dutchman has joined Andries Jonker at the German club, having worked together at the Emirates.

Van Loon worked closely with Arsenal's Under 15s and held the title of head of individual player development

But he has followed Jonker to the Bundesliga when he will work with the first team.

Jonkier also took former Arsenal midfielder Freddie Ljungberg - who was also an academy coach at the Gunners - with him to Wolfsburg when he left in February.

Former Arsenal midfielder Ljungberg represented the north London club between 1998 and 2007 before returning to the club as a coach after hanging up his boots.
