ATHI RIVER: Police Uproot Stems Of Bhang Found Growing In A Church

Administration Police officers in Athi River, Machakos County, on Thursday uprooted and confiscated more than 250 stems of bhang which they discovered growing in three different places including a church.

The operation was conducted in Embakasi village and according yo the Mavoko assistant county commissioner David Tegutwa, the police raided the village for the drug following a tip-off from the public.

Speaking outside the Champion of Christ Temple Church after the raid, Tegutwa said that no arrests were made and they suspected that the plants were grown for commercial and personal use.
