Baringo Central Member of Parliament (MP) Joshua Kandie has vowed to settle payment of pending school fees arrears for thousands of form four leavers from his constituency.

He made the remarks while handing over Sh3million cheque to aide building of four classrooms at dilapidated Kasore Primary school on Monday.

“If you have or know of a child who finished secondary school and still idles at home due to withheld secondary school certificates kindly bring their names to my constituency offices in Kabarnet for help” He said.

He said owing to poverty, majority of the students were yet to be handed their documents after completing high school.

“This is not in order, every child has a right to basic eduation and to be able to continue with his or her education as required by the government” Kandie said.

He said after offsetting their certificates the students are free to join colleges or universities to take courses of their choice.

“Those who scored low grades are urged to join Technical Vocational colleges and polytechnics where they can learn for free” Kandie said, noting government pays Sh30, 000 tuition fee for every child in polytechnic.
