Harambee Stars coach Bobby Williamson has named the team that will take on Cape Verde in a 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier match which will be played at the Nyayo National Stadium from 1600h.

As expected, Gor Mahia goalkeeper Bonface Oluoch will be in goal following Arnold Origi's forfeiture from the tie due to personal differences with the federation.

In defence, the Scotsman has picked Gor Mahia's Harun Shakava to partner Zesco United's David Owino in central defence to compensate for the absence of Brian Mandela. The two will be flanked by Ulinzi Stars' Omar Mbongi at leftback and Edwin Wafula at rightback. Mbongi will make his Harambee Stars debut after Thika United's Dennis Odhiambo was ruled out of the tie with injury.

The midfield will Kevin Kimani start on the left wing whereas Cliffton Miheso will be relied to provide crosses from the right wing. In central midfield, Anthony Akumu will partner captain Victor Wanyama and Johanna Omollo as Michael Olunga starts as a lone striker.
