City hit Shakhtar for six: Jesus nets hat-trick to all but secure last 16 spot  as United defeat Juventus

Manchester United staged yet another late comeback to beat Juventus 2-1 in the champions League in Turin.

After a goalless first half, Cristiano Ronaldo’s outstanding volley gave the host a one nil lead in the second half. However ,substitute Juan Mata curled in a beautiful free kick to restore parity in the 86th minute and three minutes later,  an own goal from Alex Sandro all but sealed the three points for the Red Devils to remain second in their group.

In the other match played yesterday Manchester City thrashed Shakhtar Donetsk six nil at the Etihad stadium courtesy of Gabriel Jesus’ hat-trik, while Bayern Munich were two nil winners over AEL Athens thanks to goals from Robert Lewandowski.

Holders Real Madrid thrashed Victoria Plezen five nil.
