A family in Kitale is in mourning after a standard six pupil killed herself over the weekend.
The girl, took her life after quarreling with her mother. An investigation into the incident is underway, according to area police.
A neighbor, Francisca Ingosi, told the Star that the girl quarreled with her mother after suspecting that the young girl could be in a sexual relationship.
The neighbor further alleged that the girl had frequent collisions with the mother that made her uncomfortable and said that the deceased wrote that in a note she left behind.
Ingosi said the girl hanged her self at approximately 4 p.m when it was raining heavily and she was alone in the house. Her body was moved to the Kitale Hospital mortuary for a postmortem.
