Collins Injera Is The All-Time Leading Sevens Try Scorer

Collins Injera yesterday became the all-time leading try scorer in the IRB series after he scored his 231st try during Kenya's 29-12 defeat against France. Earlier on, Injera had equalled Gomez Carra's record after scoring two tries against Scotland.

Injera says he was happy to score his 231st try in the IRB series at Twickenham as his parents watched from the stands. Injera thanked his older brother Humphrey Kayange, saying he’s been instrumental in his career since he made his debut in 2006.

Meanwhile, the government will invest more to support the national 7s rugby team as they prepare for the Olympics.

President Uhuru Kenyatta says the team has placed the sport in our hearts as a nation. He said this while congratulating the team on Twitter after Injera broke the world record on most try-scores.
