Citizen TV journalist Jacque Maribe can now breathe a sigh of relief.

A few weeks back, she was released from remand prison and even made a public appearance when she landed in a chopper at MP Naisula Lesuuda’s wedding in Samburu.

According to Citizen TV report, Jacque Maribe did not have access to her phone, car and house up. But we can now report the court has given her access to her house only. She appeared in court today seeking access to her car and the phone, but the court said they will still be held over ongoing investigations.

Jacque Maribe recently filled an application in the court calling for the state prosecutor Catherine Mwaniki to be disqualified from prosecuting in the murder case.

The journalist claimed that she has had to ‘beg for clothes and accommodation’ since her abode was cordoned off as a crime scene and also reportedly gone without medication and had to ‘borrow’ a mobile phone for communication purposes.

Maribe was arrested on September 29 over allegations that she was linked to the murder of Monica Kimani, a Nairobi businesswoman. A month later, she was released on Ksh.2million bail after Justice James Wakiaga indicated that there was no indication that she posed a flight risk.
