Declare presidential bid now so we can kickoff massive countrywide campaigns ahead of 2022 general elections, KANU supporters urge Baringo Senator Gideon Moi.

Led by Nominated KANU Member of Parliament from Wajir County Saadia Ahmed Mumin, the leaders praised Senator Moi saying he is fit to take over power after Uhuru Kenyatta ten-year term ends.

“I am blood-injected KANU die hard and my plea is just to urge Gideon to speed up his declaration for presidency so we can move all over the country to bid him” said Mumin.

The MP said the pastoral communities in Kenya were tired of being marginalized and suppressed trusting that Moi shall put forward their interest once he gets to power.

She was backed my Emurwa-Dikirr MP Johana Ng’eno who also appealed to Senator Moi to declare his bid early.

“Tell us about your plans and if you will not contest for presidency in 2022 then please stop disturbing our minds” Ng’eno told Moi.

He further urged the Senator to wake up and work to serve the people, “Don’t ever relax your muscles thinking that the people will vote you as the president simple because you are a son of former president…it does not come in a golden platter like that you must sweat for it in order to convince the people to vote for you” Ng’eno.

She was backed by West Pokot Governor Professor John Lonyangapuo, Kapenguria MP Samwel Moroto, Fred Ouda (Kisumu town), Rehema Jaldesa (Isiolo), Kangogo Bowen(Marakwet East), Bishop Titus Khamala (MP Lurambi), Major Bashir (Mandera North) and Omar Mohamed (Mandera East).

The leaders attended the homecoming of Tiaty Constituency Member of Parliament (MP) William Kamket, at Michuki grounds in Chemolingot on Saturday.

However Moi, who doubles KANU party Chair, maintained that it is not yet time for 2022 campaigns urging the elected leaders to work for the people.

“Time will come for politics and my word remains ‘tumto ko tako tai’, battle is still ahead” he said.
