One person died on Saturday morning after the bus they were travelling in caught fire at Globe Cinema roundabout in Nairobi.
Four others were injured and rushed to Kenyatta National Hospital for treatment.
"The Nairobi City County fire team managed to contain the fire," Kenya Red Cross tweeted.
Police and Kenya Red Cross officials rescued other passengers trapped in the 32-seater bus.
