There has been a sharp increase in the number of divorce cases in the North Rift region. David Omboto from law society of Kenya says financial problems are the main cause of separation for most couples.
He says some of the couples go for loans to do expensive weddings but end up separating within a short time.
In other news, a rising number of girls in primary school are dropping out due to early pregnancies. A report by the Taxpayers Association states that rural areas have the most cases.
