Dubai Investor Robbed Money & Valuables Worth KES 800K In Kisumu Hotel

An investor from Dubai is cursing his visit to Kenya after he was robbed of money and valuables on Sunday night at a hotel he was staying in Kisumu.

The investor, Ravi Sankar Yandapall of Mahati Infra Services India, was robbed of three high-end mobiles phones, a touch screen laptop, passports, Dubai ID card, UK & US visas and credit cards.

Yandapall said that the phones were worth KES 323 872 and the laptop was worth KES 253 032.

He also lost a wallet with KES 202 420.

Yandapall said that he was in Kisumu to meet area Governor Jack Ranguma over a KES 20 billion ship building and fuel transporting company investment.

The incident was confirmed by the Kisumu CID boss Moses Dindi who said that the robbery could have been an inside job.
