Governor Stephen Sang has honored World Marathon recorder holder Eliud Kipchoge by renaming Kipchoge Stadium in Kapsabet to be known as Eliud Kipchoge Sports Complex.
The stadium had been named after veteran athlete Kipchoge Keino but Sang said the name would be changed following the exemplary performance by Eliud in the Berlin Marathon where he broke the World record.
He said a 200-bed training camp for athletes would be set up at the stadium.
