"European football is just about to implode thanks to racism" - Moses Kuria weighs in on Ozil's retirement

Gatundu south member of parliament, Moses Kuria has become the latest celebrity to chime in on the now hot topic surrounding the circumstances which led to Mesut Ozil's resignation from international duty.

This comes just days after the Arsenal play maker called time to his playing career with the Germany national team after hitting out at racism in the German FA after being made a 'scapegoat' following their group stage World Cup exit.

In a statement the the 29-year-old midfielder, claimed he has been turned into 'political propaganda' and no longer feels pride in wearing the national shirt.

Ozil came in for heavy criticism after Germany's humiliating first-round departure in Russia, their worst World Cup performance in 80 years, which came after he was pictured alongside controversial Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

He posted three open letters to social media on Sunday, the final confirming his retirement from international football in which he hit out at the 'racism and disrespect' he has been subject to.

Kuria who is an ardent football fan noted with a lot of concern that following Ozil's racism claims, the European football is headed to the dogs all thanks to racism.

He posted, "When we win I am a German, when we lose I am an immigrant" - Ozil

"When I score I am a Belgian. When I do not I am a Belgian of Congolese descent" - Lukaku

"When I score I am French. When we lose I am an Arab" - Karim Benzema
