Fidel described as humbled and loving as Bondo mourn his death

Several leaders have condoled with Cord leader Raila Odinga following the death of his son Fidel on Saturday.

The leaders were speaking at Raila's Opoda farm in Bondo on Sunday.

Migori Governor Zacchary Obado said: “Fidel was still a young and energetic Kenyan whose demise is a loss, not only to the Odinga family, but to every Kenyan.

“We will miss a humble, loving and generous young man who never discriminated against anyone. As a county, we assure Odinga’s family of spiritual support in this moment of mourning."

Kenya Boxing Association chairman Hilary Alila also termed Fidel was humble, generous and industrious.

"I am truly devastated by his demise,” he said.

URP official George Ayugi said; “My buddy and childhood friend rest in peace. It is not easy to believe that Fidel Odinga is no more.

Kisumu county Youth Caucus coordinator Dennis Menya said Fidel was passionate about the youth agenda.

“He was keen on talent promotion and we will dearly miss his endeavours,” he said.

Kisumu Rugby Football Club members also mourned the death of their chairman who was elected into office last year.

“Kisumu RFC is saddened by the untimely demise of our chairman Fidel Odinga. As club members, we have lost a good and generous leader who helped to bring our team to its current standards,” Vice chairman Gabriel Amollo said.

Rarieda MP Nicholas Gumbo was also present.
