First Albinism pageant that took place in Kenya

The first Albinism pageant that took place in Nairobi, Kenya last Friday was mainly aimed to fight the stigma that stands against Albinism. Thirty participants from East Africa took part in it to be chosen as Mr and Miss Albinism Society.

They displayed great talent to prove to people that true beauty is far beyond the skin, it is within regardless of colour and where you are from.

Emmanuel Silas Shedrack, 20, from Tanzania and 19-year-old Maryanne Muigai from Kenya were crowned the winners.
