This comes days after international news network, CNN and social media users exposed the barbaric acts where migrants were being auctioned and sold on “slave markets”, with thousands of men, women and children being subjected to rape and forced prostitution.
It is believed that these migrants are sold between Sh20,000 and Sh50,000 as a property.
Cameroon legend Samuel Eto'o was among the first footballers to condemn the acts. He called on the rest of Africa and the world to use this time to prevent other brothers from being deprived of their dignity.
He added; Let us not just react when we can prevent, because among these victims are certainly people who have been our neighbours at some point, but to whom we have not daigné to look kindly.
