Former President Daniel Moi In high Spirits After Knee Treatment

Former President Daniel Arap Moi has been discharged from hospital.

Moi, who flew to Israel on Sunday for a medical check-up, was discharged after undergoing a series of medical check-ups.

"He is in a jovial mood and in a good spirit," his communication team said on Thursday.

Moi, 93, was booked for admission to a hospital in Tel Aviv following "an unconformable knee."

He was accompanied by his physician Dr David Silverstein and his son Baringo Senator Gideon Moi.

The former head of state has has been out of the limelight for some time.

His last public appearance was on October 26, 2017 when he cast his vote at the Kabarak University polling station.

This was during the repeat presidential election which was boycotted by the National Super Alliance.
