Nabutola
Suspected thugs raided the home of former Tourism Principal Secretary Rebecca Nabutola and robbed her of valuables and cash in Athi River Area.
Nabutola and her husband Julius Mumokituku were injured in the Sunday morning incident. They were treated and discharged from hospital.
According to police and the victims, four men armed with axes and other crude weapons forced their way into the couple’s house after smashing the main door of the house within Kinanie area, Machakos County.
While in the house, the gang hit Mumokituku, 50, on the face with a stone before hitting the former PS in the legs. She said she was injured in the knee and ankle.
The two told police that during the robbery incident, they were robbed of four golden rings, a wrist watch valued at Sh 350,000 and a wallet that had Sh 20,000.
They were also robbed of their mobile phones.
