French Forward, Griezmann Fined, Warned For Being Romantic

Since when did showing love and affection to one's lover became illegal? Well we are not talking doing it inappropriately but the simple show of love.

This happened over the weekend to budding footballer, Antoine Griezmann who was been handed a bizarre £520 (Sh65,000) fine and a warning – for celebrating his wife Erika’s birthday after scoring a goal.

According to the Atletico Madrid forward has respond­ed on Twitter rubbishing the punishment af­ter lifting up his shirt to reveal a sweet mes­sage last weekend.

After scoring in his side’s 3-0 victory over Valencia on Sunday, Griezmann revealed a t-shirt with the handwritten message to his wife: “Feliz Cumple Gordita”, Spanish for  “Happy Birth­day Chubby”.

While Erika was probably delighted with a sweet display of affection from the Manchester United target Griezmann, the Spanish FA did not see the funny side, handing him with a fine and a warning.
