Gor Mahia yesterday stayed on course to win the Kenyan Premier League title with a 3-1 win over Bandari at Kisumu Stadium.

Francis Kahata opened the scoring for Kogallo in the 39th minute before Meddie Kagere doubled the lead after the break. Wellington Ochieng added the third goal in the 70th minute as the Green army opened an eleven point lead against Kakamega Homeboyz.

In the other match played yesterday, Nzoia Sugar and Western Stima settled for a barren draw.

In the national super league matches played on Saturday, KCB secured a 3-2 win over Palos FC in Kisumu.

A brace from Alex Wiswa was not enough to give the host team all the three points as KCB continued their search for top flight football. In the other match played yesterday, Vihiga were biggest casualties as they lost 2-1 to Kibera Black Stars while Ushuru beat Agro Chemicals 3-1.

Meanwhile, the Kenya under 20 women's football team are through to the next round of FIFA under 20 World cup qualifiers after beating Ethiopia 4-3 on aggregate.
