Gor Mahia yesterday revived their title hopes in the Kenyan Premier League with a two nil win over bitter rivals AFC Leopards.

After a barren draw in the first half, Rwandese forward Meddie Kegere gave Kogalo a second half lead from the spot after Jacques Tusiyenge was fouled.

Substitute Enock Agwanda scored Gor Mahia’s second goal towards stoppage time to reduce Tusker’s lead at the top of summit to four points.

Tusker were held to a one all draw by City Stars, Chemelil Sugar settled for a one draw with Posta Rangers, Thika United beat Ushuru one nil while Western Stima and Ulinzi Stars settled for a one all draw.

On Saturday, Mathare United secured a 3-1 win over Bandari in a Kenyan Premier League match played at Nyayo Stadium.

Bandari took a first half lead through Antony Kimani who scored from the spot before Whyvonne Isuza restored parity in the 32nd minute.

Obadiah Ndege added Mathare’s two goals after the break. Elsewhere Kakamega Homeboyz settled for a barren draw with Sony Sugar.
