In other news, two suspected gangsters were yesterday gunned down by police at Karuguru area in Ruiru, Kiambu County.

Police said the two were among a gang of 10 suspects who had broken into more than eight houses in Juja estate targeting electronic goods.

In one of the homesteads, the gangsters reportedly stole a Probox vehicle which was fitted with a car tracking system that aided police in tracking them.

Police from Juja and Ruiru who were trailing the suspects used the tracking system to switch off the Probox vehicle, which two of the suspects were using to ferry the stolen goods.

The suspects abandoned the vehicle but were ambushed by police as they fled on motorbikes sparking a fierce gunfire exchange where the two were shot dead.
