Former Tiaty Member of Parliament (MP) Asman Kamama terms it incredible for Mzee Moi to deny Ruto greetings yet he was his close ally and friend during the KANU regime.
“DP Ruto was Moi’s trusted hand boy during the Youth Kenya (YK) 92 when the country underwent trials of becoming multiparty state” Kamama said.
His statement comes barely a two days after over 80 jubilee leaders bashed on Baringo Senator Gideon Moi for allegedly denying Ruto access to his father’s house.
They also railed on Tiaty MP William Kamket for criminating Ruto saying he trespassed to Moi’s residents without permission.
The leaders further urged the former head of state son, Baringo Senator Gideon Moi to consider dropping his presidential ambition for Ruto in 2022.
Gideon and Ruto met during the burial ceremony of the late Baringo South Member of Parliament (MP) Grace Kipchoim at Kimoriot in Mochongoi on Saturday.
Gideon however retorted urging the politicians to stop dragging his father on politics, “instead of insulting him, heap everything on me…I am ready to carry his burden” said Gideon.
On Thursday last week, the Deputy President accompanied by his supporters were locked out from seeing retired President Moi in his Kabarak home over reason that Mzee had a date with his regular medical doctors.
“It is inconsiderate for Moi to lockout such a friend like Ruto from accessing him and even find out how he is faring on” said Kamama.
The former National Assembly Chair Security chair also confirmed that DP Ruto had earlier booked an appointment to see Moi.
“Residence of former head of states is always governed under restricted areas act and nobody whatsoever attempts to visit the place without an appointment” he said.
