1. Moai
The monolithic statues are found on Easter island. They were curved by the Polynesian colonizers who lived at the island and it is said that they represent their ancestors or maybe the embodiment of great and powerful chiefs.
2. Christ the Redeemer
The great statue which is found in Rio De Janeiro at the peak of the Corcovado mountain which has amazing views of Rio. It is one of the tallest statues in the world.
3. Statue of Liberty
The statue of Liberty found in United States of America is also one of the most famous statues in the world and it stands on Liberty Island. It was a gift from the French and it represents a woman wearing a stola, a radiant crown and sandals, trampling a broken chain, carrying a torch in her raised right hand and a tabula ansata tablet.
4. Great Sphinx
The sphinx which is found in Giza plateau Egypt is also one of the most famous statues in the world. It is the largest monolith statue in the world although it is considerably smaller than the Pyramids around it.
5.David Statue
The statue was sculptured by Michelangelo. The 5.17 meter (17 ft) marble statue portrays the Biblical King David in the nude and was placed at the Academia Gallery in Florence in Italy, while a replica was placed at its original position Piazza Della Signoria.
