Hassan Abdalla is not for sale. This is a sterning message from the Bandari Club CEO Edward Oduor towards Gor Mahia and in regard to the reports that K’Ogallo are chasing the signature of the Dockers speed demon and Harambee Stars trialist Hassan Abdalla.

The CEO popularly referred to as Edu scoffed at a section of media reports which indicated that his counterpart at Gor Mahia Lordick Aduda flew to Mombasa to seal a deal with Hassan Abdalla ahead of the new Kenya Premier League season. In a strongly worded statement Edu told Gor Mahia to keep off Abdalla and said the Dockers will retain all the players who are under coach Bernard Mwalala's game plan in a bid to lift the KPL title the coming season.

‘’ Bandari football club wish to state categorically that Hassan Abdalla like others players in the team has a binding contract with the club which must be honoured legally. We therefore have no intention of releasing to Gor Mahia or any other potential suitors especially given that we are top contenders for the league title.’’

Edu challenged the Kenya Premier League Champions to emulate Bandari by grooming their own youngsters so that there can be transition when senior players leave or quit instead of going on a poaching spree .

The club CEO revealed that the dockers have taken a risk by fielding young players like Abdalla in an effort to give them exposure and maturity and it would be painful to let them go like that.

Efforts to get a comment from Gor Mahia CEO Lordick Omondi Aduda were futile as his cell phone was off.

Bandari completed the Kenya Premier League 2018 season in the second position behind eventual Champions Gor Mahia.

The dockers were the first team to end K’Ogallo’s unbeaten record following 2-1 home victory during the second leg match at KPA Sports Club Mbaraki.

Ironically the dockers kick off the 2019 season on December 8’th, 2018 with a mouthwatering clash against Gor Mahia at their KPA Sports Club Mbaraki home turf.
