Missing Kabete Parliamentary aspirant Chege Gitau Fresh has been found alive in Narok. His car was found abandoned, riddled with bullets.
Kabete OCPD Joseph Ongaya said they collected two spent cartridges from the place where the Toyota Prado was found.
He added that two mobile phones which were off were found in the car. They are believed to be Chege's.
Ongaya said the bullet holes were on the back left door of the car, near the lock, and that the back windscreen had been smashed.
“We are investigating how it was smashed," he said at his office adding they ruled out gunshots.
Fears surrounded the disappearance of Chege.
The police say that he was drowsy when he was discovered on the roadside by pedestrians who called his wife to pick him up.
According to the police say he has been rushed to hospital and investigations into the incident launched.
Earlier this Easter holiday, Chege’s car was found with bullet holes in Kingeero area on Saturday morning sparking protests among his supporters.
He was due to launch his campaign yesterday in the area and it is not clear who was behind the incident. Police say they are investigating the incident. His phones were found in his car.
