HOMA BAY: Man Stabs 62-year-old Brother To Death For 'stealing' His Goat

A 54-year-old man fled from his home in Wang'chieng, Rachuonyo sub-county after he allegedly killed his elder brother in a domestic dispute.

Reuben Mboya went into hiding after he stabbed his brother David Owuor, 62, to death on Sunday morning after he found his goat at the home.

Homa Bay county police commander John Omusanga said Mboya got angry with his brother he found the goat which got 'lost' some days ago.

Omusanga said the suspect who is still at large accused his brother of stealing the goat and claiming it was sold to him by Mboya's wife.

"The assailant stabbed his brother when he was told the goat was given in exchange of money to cater for medical expenses."

He said Owuor died instantly as a result of knife injuries on the left side of his chest.

The police boss said they are looking for the fugitive and urged locals with information on his whereabouts to report to them.

The body was taken to Gendia hospital mortuary in Karachuonyo constituency.
