'I was poisoned' Ommy Dimpoz reveals near death experience

Ommy Dimpoz is now in a stable situation after going for surgery due to throat complications. The Tanzanian singer could not eat or drink anything before the surgery was done.

He told MillardAyo:

"Ilitokea nikawa napata taabu kwenye kula. Chakula hakishuki, wala nikinywa maji hayashuki.Tatizo likaenda likiwa kubwa."

Adding that:

Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho reached out to Dimpoz when the two attended Ali Kiba's wedding early this year.

Nikaanza tena vipimo upya."

He then received news that he had eaten or drank something that had been poisoned causing the complications on his throat.

When he went to South Africa, Dimpoz says the doctors there also told him that he could have been poisoned.

"The question nikaulizwa 'hujawahi kunywa sumu?' Ni sumu ndio inasababisha."

Months later, he did the surgery that is slowly getting his health back

"Tukapanga na nikafanyiwa upasuaji."

He has however shut down rumours going rounds that he is gravely ill and in hospital.
