A woman who sold illicit liquor known as Yokozuna which was laced with methanol and ethanol five years ago resulting to the death of five people has been sentenced to death.
Jenifer Wanjiru alias mama Flora, alias mama Mwangi alias Kabiri will face the hangman's noose for the murders of Festus Nzuki, David Karanja, Samuel Waweru, James Mwita, Julius Kariuki, Joseph Ndichu and Julius Mwangi.
The deaths occurred in September 11, 2011.
Justice Lessit said that Wanjiru knew the levels of ethanol and methanol she had put in the drinks were high and would result to the death of her unsuspecting customers.
Yokozuna hit the news after it was claimed that she committed the offence in September 11, in Gitambaya village in Kiambu County.
