'It was 8 hours of labour and hadn't chosen his name yet,' narrates Awinja on son's birthday

Celebrated local actress-cum-radio presenter Jacky Vike popularly referred to as Awinja is a happy mother.

The actress, who plays the role of a naive Luhya housegirl for her uncle Papa Shirandula, has been keeping a low profile socially after giving birth and it's without a doubt that she's busy spending more time with her son.

Awinja was lucky and during her pregnancy, she did not experience any challenges as many women do. Pregnancy did not take a toll on her health.

"I’M ONE OF THOSE LUCKY WOMEN. I HAVEN’T EXPERIENCED ANY MORNING SICKNESS. I DON’T HAVE CRAVINGS WHEN IT COMES TO FOOD, I EAT ANYTHING. I HAVE HAD THE EASIEST PREGNANCY SO FAR," she told Mpasho a few months to her due date.

Well, Awinja gave birth in June last year and she's grateful to God for the precious gift. She later introduced her son to the online community, three weeks later.

"ON THE 3RD OF JUNE 2017, 6:56:55 AM, GOD BLESSED ME WITH THE GREATEST GIFT IN MY LIFE EVER! NOTHING CAN BEAT THE JOY MY SON HAS BROUGHT IN MY LIFE, AND AS HE TURNS 3 WEEKS OLD, I WOULD LOVE TO THANK YOU ALL THAT HAVE WALKED WITH ME THROUGHOUT MY PREGNANCY JOURNEY. MY FAMILY, FRIENDS AND FANS, THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR PRAYERS AND ADVICE, MAY GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILIES, ITS BEEN AN AWESOME LEARNING EXPERIENCE FOR ME AND MY PARTNER AND WE ARE LOOKING FORWARD TO MORE, AND I KNOW THROUGH GOD’S GUIDANCE ALL SHALL BE WELL," read her post.

Yesterday on her son's first birthday, Awinja showered her offspring with love and she revealed that she went into labour for eight hours.

"A day like today, after 8 hours of labour (uuuuwi!!) God Blessed me with our Son, a gift that changed my life, I have learnt patience, Sacrifice, priorities, forgiveness, and appreciation of life in so many ways. He has made me become more closer to God . And I thank the most high for his guidance through this motherhood journey HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOSI . I love you so much! ❤️❤️❤️❤️ I remember we had not chosen any name by the time he was born and since he was born on Saturday, his Dad suggested MOSi from Jumamosi or One how cute! And yes you can call me Mama Mosi. Salute to all parents, its not not easy but best job ever," read her message.

Awinja and her baby daddy Alfred Ngachi, who works for Sync Media as the executive creative director have kept their relationship under wraps and little is known about them.
