Three men accused of stripping and sexually assaulting a woman inside a Githurai bound bus, three years ago, have been sentenced to death by a Nairobi magistrate.
The trio, Nicholas Chege Mwangi, a bus driver, Meshack Mburu Mwangi, a bus conductor and a pump attendant- Edward Ndungu Kamau were also found guilty of robbing the woman and sexually assaulting her on the night of 19 and 20, September 2014.
Chief Magistrate Francis Andayi said what the three might have thought was a joke, should not be taken lightly and a woman's privacy and decency should be respected at all times.
