Kenya Harlequins Rugby club has joined those calling President Uhuru Kenyatta to reconsider his 35% tax rule on betting companies after their main sponsors sportpesa withdrew all sports sponsorship last season.

Last year the club signed a multi million deal with the betting company that saw them become one of the best paying clubs in the country.

The deal saw Quins keep a total of eighty five players which included under twenty players as well offering scholarship to some players. However with the sponsors gone, the club can no longer fund all these projects and are now appealing to the President to have a look at the rule and make necessary amendments.
