Nairobi is the official host city of 2017 world youth championships.
Kenya successfully won the rights after a last minute withdrawal of their greatest competitor, Greenboro (USA) last night.
Kenya had put up a mighty bid team which consisted of Sports Cabinet Secretary, Dr Hassan Wario and 2014 Diamond League winner Mercy Cherono and included athlete, Mercy Cherono.
This will be the second time Kenya will be hosting the event after successfully hosting it in Mombasa, back in 2007.
