The children aged three and two were sleeping in the house when the fire broke out.
Police say their parents had left the house to a neighbour’s one for a funeral meeting when the incident happened.
This is the second such incident to happen in less than a week. Last week, two other children were killed in similar circumstances in Shauri Moyo area. Police say they are investigating both incidents.
Meanwhile, two suspected thugs were shot dead in a botched robbery in Kayole area, Nairobi.
The suspects were in the company of three others when they were confronted by police who had been tipped off.
Police say they recovered a mini ceska from the suspects. This is the latest such incident in less than a week where more than six suspects have been killed in fight against crime.
