University lecturers have been on strike for a while now, and students are getting tired of the back and forth between the government and UASU officials.

What KOT have noticed in the power fo handshakes that has taken Kenya by storm,. Politicians from opposing sides are shaking hands and pledging they will now work together. and yes even forgiveness has been sought.

Uasu and Kusu have dismissed KU's call for workers to resume duty on Monday, saying management is using propaganda to end a strike that has lasted 65 days.

The Universities Academic Staff Union and Kenya Universities Staff Union announced a national strike after the government failed to table a counteroffer to the 2017/21 CBA and hold talks.

In a statement on Friday, the two noted that "the strike is on and there shall be no lectures on May 7".

So why not extend those handshakes to lecturers. KOT have taken to social media to urge President Kenyatta to also shake hands with teachers, and end the strike action,
