KQ plane headed to South Africa damaged at JKIA (Photos and Video)

News broke on social media that a Kenya Airways flight bound for Johannesburg, South Africa was unable to take off after it was damaged.

Pictures of the damaged airplane have been widely circulated on social media, with many wondering what could have gone wrong.

Kenya Airways management have also sent out a press statement explaining the incident. Read it below

Kenya Airways confirms that one of its aircraft was involved in an unfortunate incident last evening. The aircraft, a B-737-800 was expected to operate flight KQ764 to Johannesburg.

The incident involving an airport tow truck happened during push back of the aircraft from the bay damaging part of its fuselage and engine.

Kenya Airways would like to confirm that there were no injuries. Flight KQ 764 was later cancelled to allow for further investigations and all guests were accommodated on other flights.
