KTN journalist Duncan Khaemba has been arrested for taunting police while covering Kibera demonstrations.

Khaemba and his cameraman were arrested on Saturday after being asked to vacate the scene.

They were taken to the Kilimani police station.

Protesters vandalised properties and burnt stalls as the police tried to disperse the rowdy youths in Kibera slum.This was after Uhuru Kenyatta was announced the winner of 2017 presidential election with 8,203,290 votes, against Opposition leader Raila Odinga's 6,762,224 votes.

Police lobbed tear gas at the residents and also to the media who were prevented from covering the protests.

Gunshots continue to be heard in different parts of the slum, coupled with shouting and wailing from residents.

More contingents of GSU lorries drove into the slum as the residents continued to protest their displeasure of the general election results.
