Marcus Rashford looks set to double his wages at Manchester United after underlining his worth since the arrival of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

The England international has six goals and three assists in his last nine games and United are keen to reward his form with a bumper new contract.

It would see the 21-year-old double his £75,000-per-week deal, which has only 18 months left to run, to £150,000, according to .

Though the club have the option to extend it by an extra year, they want to tie him down long-term.

A new contract will also ward off interest from the continent, with Real Madrid in particular coveting the young forward.

Rashford is set to make his 150th appearance for United when Brighton visit Old Trafford at the weekend.

They go in hunt of their seventh straight win under Solskjaer, who has restored Rashford to the central role in which he burst onto the scene under Louis van Gaal in 2016.

Rashford scored the winning goal against Tottenham at Wembley on Sunday and also netted in the win at Newcastle earlier in the month.
