Babu Owino's wife, Fridah Ongili is taking up her role as the first lady of the Embakasi MP.
"Yesterday my wife and I held a meeting at Tassia, Embakasi ward in Embakasi East to educate women on matters table banking. Thereafter we distributed maize flour to the residents."
The MP further explained, "Women will be the driving force of development in Embakasi. My wife Fridah Muthoni Ongili and I had an engaging round table discussion with the women of Upper Savannah today at Donholm Primary School. "
Top on the agenda was Table Banking popularly known as “merry go rounds.” We discussed ways and means of empowering our mothers, wives, sisters and daughters by enhancing table banking in the constituency to ensure more women are reached and in greater more meaningful ways."
He added, "Thereafter, Fridah, the Patron of this effort and I led the distribution of bales of Unga to the more than 1,000 women who attended and I made a guarantee to engage financial institutions to back our table banking initiative. Na tutazidi kuwahudumia!"
