Sheron Sukhedo, 33, was gunned down in a drive-by shooting outside the home of his wife's parents in Trinidad and Tobago last week.

He was laid in a $50,000 gold casket, adorned with gold pendants and jewellery reportedly worth $100,000, as mourners paid their respects.

A pair of Timberland boots was also placed inside the casket by his relatives.

He reportedly survived an attempt on his life two years ago and had a number officers on his payroll to protect him from his enemies.

Two days after Sukhedo was killed, his wife Rachel was taken to hospital needing treatment due to a medical complication, the local Guardian reports.
