Musician Jaguar Charged For Road Accident That Claimed Two Lives

Popular musician Charles Kanyi popularly known as Jaguar was on Monday morning charged at Baricho law court for dangerous driving and causing the death of a boda boda cyclist and his passenger.

The court was told the musician, being the driver of a Range Rover registration number, KCB 808S, was driving in a manner that was dangerous to the public and caused the death of Mugo Mwangi and his passenger at the Makutano - Sagana road junction.
Jaguar denied the two counts of the traffic offence and was released on a Sh. 50,000 cash bail. The musician was not represented by a lawyer.
Jaguar looked composed throughout the court session.

While releasing him on bail, senior principal magistrate Evans Keaga directed that the case would be mentioned on the 5th of May 2017.
The musician was clad in a blue jersey, black jeans and black rubber shoes. After the session Jaguar drove towards the direction of Nairobi and avoided journalists.
