NAIROBI: Drunk Police Officer Injured In Gunfight With Colleagues

A police officer who was allegedly drunk was wounded in the neck during a gunfight with colleagues in South B on Tuesday.

The Police Constable, David Mariga, was wounded after he fired at his colleague from Industrial Area police station who had ordered him to surrender after they received reports that he was harassing residents in the area.

The officer drew a Ceska pistol and shot at his uniformed colleagues three times after he was directed to surrender.

Mariga is admitted at the Mater Hospital.
