Nairobi Man Commits Suicide After Quarreling With Wife Over A Mobile Phone

Two people committed suicide in separate incidents in the city. The incidents happened in Buruburu area and police say they are under investigation. The first incident happened where a house girl was found dead after she had hanged herself over unknown reasons.

In another incident, a man committed suicide after he had quarreled with his wife over a mobile phone.

In Pangani area, a woman fell from the 12th floor of a house she was and died. The victim was at the construction site when she slipped and fell, dying on the spot.

Meanwhile, six suspected thugs were last night shot dead in separate incidents of crime in Nairobi. One was killed in Soweto slums, two in Kayole, one in Pangani area and two in Riruta.

Police say the suspects were all involved in active crime when an alarm was raised. According to police, three pistols were recovered from the scenes. The bodies were moved to the mortuary.

Elsewhere, a man was shot dead inside his shop by gunmen who grabbed unknown amount of money in Nairobi’s Kayole area. The victim was attending to three men who had posed as customers wanting to deposit money at his Mpesa shop when he was shot at close range.

Police say he was shot in the chest and died instantly before the gang grabbed unknown amount of money and escaped. No arrest has been made so far and this increases cases of armed robberies in the area.

Elsewhere, a man was crashed to death by a crane as he offloaded a cargo from a lorry in Industrial Area. The victim was among a group that had been hired to offload the cargo when he was killed. Police say they are investigating the incident.
