When they were vetting former Sports CS Hassan Wario for the job of an ambassador to Austria, one of the MPs took the mic and asked:

“YOU ARE A FAN OF SHISHA AND AN ADDICT OF THE SAME AND THAT HAS BEEN BANNED IN KENYA, WHAT IS YOUR TAKE ON THAT?”

Note: The MP was called to order and his comment on the alleged addiction frowned upon. However, that did not stop Wario from responding.

A visibly upset Wario did not hold back or feel cowed by the question.

HASSAN WARIO RESPONDED, “WHAT I DO IN MY PRIVATE LIFE IS NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS AND IT IS NONE OF ANYBODY’S BUSINESS.”

He added shaking his head, “I feel really disrespected Mr Chairman.”

Other ambassadors who are to be vetted are Judy Wakhungu ( France ), Cleopa Mailu (United Nations), Dan Kazungu (Tanzania), Phylis Kandie (Belgium), Willy Bett (India), Jacob Kaimenyi (UNEP) and Abdikadir Mohammed (South Korea).
