This is after the organizers of 2018 Africa Athletics Championships failed to provide a chartered flight for them to reach the match venue in Asaba.
Only 22 of the close to 100-member delegation managed to travel to Asaba.
Taking to his social media pages, a visibly jaded Yego, cut a frustrated figure as he blamed the Nigerian and AAC officials for the fiasco.
He shared photos of the team sleeping on the airport floor as they contemplated on their next move, hours before the start of the championships.
He posted, stranded for the 2nd at the airport now back to hotel yet we have competition starting tomorrow morning !! We not sure if we will go to Asaba the place of competition tomorrow !!Nigeria has fail Africa CAA has fail aftican (sic) lovers of athletics
"The team is currently stuck in the evening rush hour traffic heading to a hotel where they are expected to spend the night," one of the managers said in a statement on Tuesday evening.
The team said the situation was, however, brightened by the assurances that they will spend the night on one bed per person as opposed to Monday where they spent the night in threes.
The Confederation of Africa Athletics and the Asaba LOC are responsible for the teams' travel to Asaba.
Team Kenya are considering flying back to Nairobi if the situation doesn't change.
Another team which experienced same troubles was Ghana, though as of Tuesday evening they had managed to arrive in Asaba.
