Deputy President William Ruto has said he will focus on his job as President Uhuru Kenyatta's principal assistant to ensure the Jubilee agenda is fulfilled.
Mr Ruto said his job is to help the President in ensuring successful implementation of development projects across the country.
Mr Ruto said he will not be distracted by those engaging him in premature competitive politics.
“I took an oath and pledged to assist the President and therefore I will do the job diligently. No one will distract me,” said Mr Ruto.
Mr Ruto added: “Those engaging in politics should stop because this is time to serve Kenyans.”
The Deputy President spoke in Kirinyaga County where he launched Kianjege-Mukangu-Ndimaini-Karatina and Kiburu-Kabonge roads at Kiburu and later launched Ndia Techinical Training Institute.
He was accompanied by Senate deputy Speaker Kithure Kindiki, Governor Anne Waiguru (Kirinyaga), her deputy Peter Ndambiri, MPs Kimani Ichungwa (Kikuyu), Rigathi Gachagua (Mathira) and George Kariuki (Ndia).
